New Year, New You: Breathwork Journey with Michelle

Step into 2025 with clarity, intention, and renewal through a transformative Breathwork Journey led by Michelle Svendsen, a triple-certified breathwork facilitator. This special session at Inspired Mind Matters Wellness Studio is designed to help you reflect on the past year, release what no longer serves your inner being, and manifest your vision for the year ahead.

What to Expect:

Join Michelle as she guides you in harnessing the energy of your breath to align your body, mind, and spirit. This 90-minute session will:

  • Begin with an overview of the techniques, benefits, and safety considerations for breathwork, including breath retentions.
  • Include a grounding meditation to prepare you for your journey.
  • Use carefully curated music to enhance your breathing experience, leading to sensations, insights, or deep relaxation—unique to each participant.

Breathwork is a powerful tool to reduce stress and anxiety, foster clarity, and tap into your body’s natural capacity for growth and healing. You’ll leave feeling energized, focused, and ready to embrace the year ahead.

Benefits of Breathwork:

  • Manage your stress response.
  • Enhance oxygen efficiency and strengthen lung capacity.
  • Improve heart rate and blood pressure.
  • Access feel-good chemicals naturally within your body.

What to Wear and Bring:

  • Dress comfortably and in layers (socks recommended for temperature changes).
  • We provide yoga mats, blankets, eye masks, and towels. Feel free to bring extra pillows, blankets, or props for your comfort.
  • Water and hot tea will be available.

Please arrive after 10:45 but no later than 10:55 so you can get situated. If the sign on the door says class in session please wait to enter.

Cost:

$40.00 drop-in

$30.00 pre-register/pay (non-refundable but transferrable) or if you are staying after taking that morning’s Yin session. Contact [email protected] for registration & payment information.

Contraindications for over breathing, breath retentions, and cold therapy are below and check with your doctor to see if breathwork and cold therapy are safe options for you: Breathwork is not advised for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, family history of aneurysms, severe asthma, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries, or surgery without first speaking with a medical professional. For people with severe mental illness, seizure disorders or for people prescribed certain medications. Consult your physician if you are pregnant before starting any kind of breathwork.
