Cheryl will offers Indigo Dyeing\, a 5\,000 year old tradition that produces beautiful shades of blue from a process that feels like pure magic. We’ll start with a stitching meditation to produce a beautiful image of a full moon and then dip the fabric in my prepared indigo vat to experience the magic. (Note: For those who may not have the hand mobility or desire for stitching\, She will have another method available using clamps and shapes.) \nLaura Halsey Brown empowers individuals to use art to support their wellness through groups and one-on-one meetings (in person or online) for youth and adults. This session will include a variety of breathwork to get you energetically aligned and in a beautiful flow state\, helping you find clarity and focus for growth as well as deep relaxation.\n\nIt will start with a description of why and how to use the breathing methods\, including the benefits\, and contraindications for breath retentions. You will be guided through a short meditation to relax you into your journey.\n\nAs we start breathing with the specially selected music you may feel sensations\, have thoughts of visions\, and feel complete relaxation and sometimes pure bliss and/or euphoria. The outcomes are different for everyone as it is a deeply personal experience. Breathing in this manner is a powerful tool in the release of stress and anxiety. Every effort will be made to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout your journey no matter where it takes you.\n\nLearn how to manage your stress response\, teach your body to use oxygen more efficiently\, strengthen lung capacity\, improve heart rate\, and blood pressure\, and tap into your own feel-good chemicals all with your own breath! What to Wear/Bring: Dress comfortably!\n\nWe have eye masks\, yoga mats and blankets for you but feel free to bring pillows\, blankets\, and any props that may make you more comfortable. Often people go between hot and cold while practicing breathwork so we recommend socks. You will get familiar and comfortable with the aerial silk hammock\, learn how it moves\, and learn how your body moves in it. This class is perfect for the beginner just wanting to see if this is for them\, as some people love it and some do not. We will do an introduction\, some warm ups\, 3-5 poses per class\, every pose will be individually spotted by Michelle. \nFor this reason we limit this class to 4 participants.
